Course Details
This one day workshop is aimed at experienced navigators wanting to extend their skills in reading the landscape and interpreting contours on maps. Ideally you will be familiar with the basics of how contours represent relief on the ground and able to identify major land features such as valleys, hills, ridges and plateaus.
You will learn to:
- Read the ground and see relief differently.
- Understand and read the map in a different way.
- Link the ground to the map with ease and proficiency.
- Understand how to use these skills to navigate with fluency and confidence.
Primarily aimed at leaders and instructors, this workshop is open to anyone with an interest in developing this area of their navigational skill. This workshop attracts 1 CPD point for MTA members.
